When I am coming up with a new recipe I often keep my brother in mind. He has always been a fussy eater so when I am cooking for him and trying something a little different I I try to make it in a way that he might like it. I made this chicken as a take on the honey soy chicken I remember eating as a child and he LOVED it. So excited to share this recipe with you, hope you like it!
RECIPE (serves 3)
6 boneless skinless chicken thighs
2 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp tamari
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tbsp honey
2 tbsp sesame seeds
In a small bowl mix together the sesame oil, soy sauce, tamari, garlic, honey and sesame seeds.
Place the chicken in a nonstick tray and pour over the marinade.
Massage the marinade into the chicken with your hands to ensure each piece is well coated.
Bake in a 180C preheated oven for 25 minutes or until the chicken is completely cooked through.
TIP: If you know you are going to be short for time you can prepare the chicken in the tray with the marinade and leave in the fridge overnight to cook the next day.
