Avocado Hummus

With Grand Final weekend upon us I thought it would be best to share an easy recipe that you can put out to share with your friends and family. This recipe is super simple and can be made with ingredients you might already have available to you in your own home. I love making dips and keeping them in the fridge to have as a delicious addition to salads and a great snack. Once you see how easy this is to make I promise you that it will be something that you make all the time. If you do give this a go please send me a picture because I would LOVE to see! Ingredients:

2 x 400g cans of chickpeas, rinsed

½ avocado

2 tbsp tahini

3 tbsp olive oil

1 lemon, juice and zest

1 tsp chilli flakes

2 tsp salt

 

Method:

  1. Put all the ingredients into a food processor and blend until it forms a thick and luscious dip. You may need to stop the food processor and wipe down the sides with a spatula just to make sure all the ingredients are well combined.

  2. Pour the mixture into a large serving bowl or container and enjoy with carrot sticks, crackers or just with a spoon (no judgement zone here).
